The pilot, however, pressed away in a steep dive and thus extinguished the blaze. After this dangerous incident the dive-bomber returned safely to its airport. He has perceived some sound a low moaning, whining sound, indicating that there is still some human life beneath the ruins, which must and will be saved. Stuka directing officer in front of the main fighting front ....... Standing in the turret batch of the tank the Stuka-directing officer directs the attack of our bomber formation on the Bolshevistic positions. Through his throat microphone he calls the observed effects of the attack up to the commanding officer of the bomber formation. Changing his position of observation frequently because of the 'heavy fire directed against his tank by the Soviet artillery he informs the commanders of the following bomber-waves as to the various aims not yet destroyed by the Stuka attack.
